Member Services Technician

Examination Schedule:

Written Exam will be conducted on October 17, 2025

Examinations:

Written Exam (100%): Will be conducted for the purpose of assessing the applicant's knowledge of The Kern County Retirement System or similar benefit programs; laws and regulations covering retirement benefits and coverages; customer service principles, effective business communication methods; office practices and procedures; business math and computerized systems and software applications. 

Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the examination process.

The Human Resources Division may solely conduct an appraisal of application materials should there be an insufficient number of candidates to warrant a written exam. 


Minimum Qualifications:

Associate degree from an accredited college, 

OR

High School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent AND two (2) years of related program experience sufficient to obtain knowledge and skill to successfully perform the essential function of the job.
